The King's Speech

On Sunday me and my family decided to go to the cinema to see 'The King's Speech' as it has been all over the news about the nominations its been up for.
It lived up to expectations and was a very interesting interpretation of the Kings struggles with his stutter. It was extremely witty.. this is my favourite form of comedy (probuably because I am the least witty person you will ever meet!!!)
I recommed this to someone who wants an easy watch, a budding historian or someone who wants some light hearted humour. I think it definitely deserves 4/5 stars.

127 Hours

This week I also went to see 127 Hours, a film also based on a true story.
I didn't find this anywhere near as interesting, this film would of made a better documentary. It involves a man who is climbing in parts of the Gran Canion he slips down into a cave and traps his arm under a rock. After days and days of trying to get the rock off, paranoia and hallucination he eventually cuts his arm off and gets rescued.
Overall the film was better than anticiapted, but I still only give it 2/5.

RED SEA JAWS.
Channel 5, 8:00 till 9:00

This is a documentary I was very interested in watching, it was on the very recent new story of the shark attacks in Egypt, Sharma shake. I went on holiday in Egypt April 2010 with my family. I have a massive fear of sharks but despite this one day we went to a beautiful island called Mahmya to go snorkelling. I put sharks at the back of my mind and the only dissapointment of the day was that we didn't have an under water camera as it was a truly unforgettable experience.

The documentary was shocking and has really scary, its definitely made me think twice about going snorkelling which is a shame as it is such an amazing experience but people have to ruin it by doing thoughtless actions which result in devastating consequenses.

CAKE CHESTER

Cake is a fabulous cake shop which sells the most exqusite and artisitic cakes I have ever witnessed. I have found the three images above from their website: http://www.cakechester.co.uk/

They also sell gorgeous little cupcakes which are absolutely delicious.

These photographs are of my 18th birthday cake, bought by boyfriend.
He is the one who introduced me to this amazing shop.
I couldn't of loved my cake more, being a budding artist myself I am intrigued by every little detail put into the cake.
I couldn't cut it for days as I couldn't bring myself to spoil it, but when I did it was well worth it as the chocolate cake inside was to die for with the melt in your mouth icing everyone loves.

I highly recommend this cake shop to everyone, they can tailor your needs to create a masterpiece to suit anyone.

doggy-woggy

Dexter is my tea pot chihuahua.
He was bought in January 2010 by my boyfriend Michael.
Whilst watching Beverly hills chihuahua we decided we HAD to get one, that night we found him on a website and discovered the breeder lived in the same city as us! In our eyes.. a 'sign'. The next day we saw him and fell in love. He had the naughty cheeky chappy attitude that you can't resist.
The next day he was ours.

Playing tug of war with Michaels other dog Poppyseed (a minature Yorkshire terrior) on christmas day.

I love love love the calander which Michael bought me for christmas! Every single month is gorgeous and it makes me want another puppie sooo bad,
I now understand Paris Hilton's addiction. I'm not helped with having a wonderful chihuahua breeder on my door step with the most cutest puppies in the world!!

He loves a good play but also a good cuddle and sleep.

His 'furarri' bed :)

On a trip to Hatton park.. this dog has serious stamina. We went to Loggerheads which is a 3 mile walk with a lot of up hill walking and whilst poppy was carried the whole way Dexter didn't stop and could of gone around again!!

Readers please don't under estimate this dog... you want a dog for walking do not rule out chihuahau's!!!
He could easily walk miles and miles and still wants to go, he is so lovable and cheeky.
Potty training is the only obstacle we've yet to overcome.....

my-little-pony

This is my pony, Deirdre. I bought her in Easter 2007 which seems so long ago now!!
I have ridden since I can remember and always dreamed of having my own horse. I had lessons at foxes riding school. We looked at atleast 20 horses before we found her at a little dealers yard in Blackpool. Not the nicest and definitely not the poshest. She was perfect though, an angel in the stable and not a 'plod' to ride. The woman sold us to her as 'a safe, fun pony' and she told us in her words 'I'm not selling her to you as a pony who'll win you rosettes or do clear rounds showjumping.'
She didn't see the potential.. we did!
The day to pick her up arrived and Dad borrowed a trailer from a collegue at work, I remember the 'tummy flipping' moment when I kept on turning around on the way home to see if she was still there!
Arriving at our new yard we all looked at each other.. shocked and surprised at the fact we had horse!!
The first dilema came when trying to get her out of the trailer... then when in her stable what to do.. how to muck out.. what to feed her.. if her tack fits ECT ECT!!!!

The first two years Dee came on in leaps and bouds, the pony who would never jump clear ALWAYS jumped clear!! But in January 2009 she had a freak accident in the field and displaced a tendon. I was heartbroken she might not of ever been able to be ridden again.. never mind jump. After a whole year  off (in which we bought a new horse who then turn out to be a nut case and had to be given back) I could finally ride her again.
No sedatives or calmers I just put the tack on her and got on. The perfect pony she is.. she walked around like an angel. On February the 1st 2010 I could finally trot her for the first time in over a year. And in June our vet Julia said it would be ok to jump her very very small.
Since then I have been to 2 combined training classes at foxes, coming third in the first and then second! And been hacking to Kelsal and around Christleton.

This weekend I am hoping to go to tushingham showjumping and if that is successful I want to do more competing this year, below is one of my favourite photos of her showjumping. Sadly our vet has told us she will never jump this high again :(, but I refuse to give up on her!
